Icecast® Compact
Icelandic Direct Casting (IDC) is a unique manufacturing method that enables prosthetists to cast total surface bearing sockets with optimal results.
IDC sockets are fabricated with the Icecast Compact pressure bladder and the Icelock® 100 series of locking and attachment components. The Icelock 100 series allows for interchangeable suspension (pin, lanyard, valve) without making a new hard socket.

IDC provides a Total Surface Bearing socket through even pressure distribution
- Consistency in fitting
IDC guarantees a replicable socket fitting
- Direct user involvement
Tackle specific problem areas with direct user feedback
Icecast® Big Bladder
The new, bigger bladder for the Icecast Compact is made for long and large residual limbs. It enables the full use of the Icex size range (5x50cm, 6x50cm). You can use it for either Icex applications or plaster of Paris casting. Its optimal performance will be for long and large residual limbs using Iceross® sizes 22-35.
