LP Vari-Flex®
Low Profile Vari-Flex offers superior flexibility and energy return, in a design that is easy to cosmetically cover and align.
LP Vari-Flex offers more energy return and greater flexibility than Allurion®, making it more comfortable to wear. Comparisons with Flex-Walk show the same excellent function, but with greater strength. It is also easier to cover cosmetically and is used with the premium foot covers.
LP Vari-Flex is now also available with a lamination adapter for exo-skeletal applications.User group
LP Vari-Flex is the ultimate foot for amputees who cannot use a
J-shaped foot due to build height, but who would benefit from an energy storing-foot that supports them during the day. The foot is, as the name indicates, a low profile option to the popular Vari-Flex.
LP Vari-Flex attributes
- Low build height
LP Vari-Flex is the lowest profile Flex-Foot*, designed for transtibial amputees who cannot use a J-shaped foot due to a requirement for low build height.
*LP Symes offers a lower profile
- Carbon-X active heel
Stores energy and absorbs shock loads. Creates timely and controlled plantarflexion during early stance phase, which in turn leads to stability soon after heel contact.
- Full length toe lever
Provides stability during mid-stance and prevents drop-off in late stance phase. Prevents uneven stride length or excessive loading at heel contact of the contralateral foot.
- Proportional response
The layering of carbon fiber ensures that the deflection of the forefoot from mid-stance to toe-off is proportional to the user's weight and activity, achieving maximum efficiency.
- Split toe
The split toe offers inversion/eversion for stability on uneven terrain
