We at Ossur have our professional and corporate mission cut out for us. But we are luckier than most, because ours is indefinetly more easy to adopt and to both work and live by.

"Improving people's mobility" is not an easy task, but we like it! It is ours and we would very much like to succeed.

A small part of that is to make our service more readily available and to share what knowledge we may have to those that may need.

Amputee mailings

Occasionally we send out an email to our subscribers on the latest development in prosthetics, or news of Team Ossur or other amputees. Please feel free to subscribe to the list to get updates delivered to your inbox  -  you can always unsubscribe.

Product selection guidelines

There are many factors that come into account when fitting a prosthesis: Health, height and weight are taken into account, as well as the level of amputation and the length and shape of the residual limb. Common terms

It is quite necessary to be familiar with some of the commonly used terms in the discussion and literature on amputation. We have compiled a short list of basic basic terms - you can add to it by sending us any words you are not familiar with and would like to see included on the list.
